Futures hovering in divergent trading

Gold futures rose by Rs81 to Rs62,466 per 10 grams as speculators created fresh positions on firm spot demand. Silver futures fell by Rs134 to Rs75,165 per kilogram as participants reduced their bets.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold contracts for December delivery traded higher by Rs81 or 0.13 per cent at Rs62,466 per 10 grams in a business turnover of 699 lots. Fresh positions built up by participants led to a rise in gold prices, analysts said. Globally, gold futures went up by 0.12 per cent to $2,062.70 per ounce in New York.
On MCX, silver contracts for December delivery declined by Rs134 or 0.18 per cent to Rs75,165 per kg in a business turnover of 4,122 lots. Globally, silver was trading 0.01 per cent lower at $25.31 per ounce in New York.
